This generator is based around the classic stat rolling method of "4d6 drop the lowest", also known as "4d6k3".

3 is the lowest that can be rolled with 4d6k3.

10 is the ability score of an average human in D&D and Pathfinder.

18 is the highest that can be rolled with 4d6k3.

73 is the statistical average (rounded to a whole number) of the total of 6 stats, each rolled with 4d6k3.

Personally, I let my players set their minimum ability scores to whatever they want, so they can increase their odds of getting stats that are weighted how they like.

Also, I let my players play around with the generator as much as they want, but what gets sent to my email are their final stats.
